Brush Up Training

Brush Up Training (06/02/08&16)

a little difficult~

We invited a teacher from Hyogo International Association and held a brush up training for the volunteer teachers. The teacher told us a beneficial story.

We hold a study meeting once a month, for volunteer teachers to teach classes smoothly and improve their skills. This time we studied “Minna no Nihongo Ⅰ Lesson 9” and tried to teach that lesson.

The Tia Proficiency Test & Welcome Party (07/08/25)

The Tia Proficiency Test & Welcome Party was held on the afternoon of August 25^th. The volunteer teachers interviewed those interested in joining the classes. After the test, the teachers and students had a very good time visiting.

Tia invited a teacher from the Hyogo International Association to hold a study meeting for the Tia volunteer staff. We studied the passive and causative verbs, and the honorific language. We learned some techniques which will help us teach the classes more smoothly.

Japanese Study Support from Overseas

Heisei 19th “Japanese Study Support for Children from Overseas” (07/11/17)

The number of foreign people in Toyooka are increasing, including children who need Japanese Study Support. Because of this situation, it is necessary to teach. But, to teach Japanese to children with different backgrounds requires a different technique than for adults. Tia invited a teacher from the Hyogo International Association to hold a study meeting for the Tia volunteer staff. We studied some techniques on how to teach and support them.

After the study, Ms. Sakai had a chance to talk to one of the Mongolian students. The student learned how to write "Umi(海）" in Japanese, which was most impressed her. This is a one sceen until Ms. Sakai got her train.

Tia Japanese Class(08/03/10,11)

3 students are leaving from Toyooka this month. We held a small party for them with other students and volunteer staff on 10th and 11th. In the party, the volunteer staff handed them a deploma and they recieved it with smiling. We wish for the health and happiness of them after they go to the other city or go back to their countries.
